Scholarship Fund, Inc.
Freemasons have always supported education, especially free public education, but our support for education, in general, is secular and extends to schools both public and private. One of the fundamental goals of Freemasonry is the continuing education and enlightenment of our members and the wider community.
Rising Sun Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable subsidiary of the lodge. Donations to RSSFI are fully tax-deductible. Our Masonic scholarship efforts have existed for many years in various formats under our predecessor lodges, which were all consolidated under RSSFI when Rising Sun Lodge was chartered in 2010.
Working with a very modest endowment, supplemented by donations, RSSFI typically grants two scholarships each year to college-bound students graduating from high schools across Haddonfield, Camden County, and the greater South Jersey area. Grants are awarded based on a combination of academic performance and financial needs. These are usually one-year grants in amounts based on the annual performance of our portfolio plus donations for the year. Watch for the annual announcements of our scholarships in local papers.

Our goal is to grow our endowment in hopes of presenting grants in greater amounts or for multiple years, as circumstances may permit. If you can contribute to our support for education, please click the Donate button below, and proceed accordingly. All donations are fully tax-deductible and will be used in part to fulfill grants in the year in which the donation is given and in part to increase our endowment to support future educational grants.
